If your Amazon return routine involves driving 20+ minutes to Moon Township or hunting for a Whole Foods, we have good news: you can drop that return on Merchant Street instead. There’s just one trick to know.
The one trick: pick the label option, not the QR code
QR-code returns can only be scanned at UPS Stores and Amazon partner locations — the faraway ones you’re trying to avoid. So when Amazon asks how you want to ship it back, scroll past the QR-code choices and pick UPS Drop-Off (careful: not “UPS Store”). It’s the option with a printable label — Amazon will warn you that you need a box and a printer, and that’s fine, because we’ve got both covered.
Step 1: Start the return in the Amazon app
Open your orders, pick the item, and give your return reason. (Honest tip: if the problem is on their end — wrong size listed, item arrived damaged — Amazon usually covers return shipping.)
Step 2: Choose UPS Drop-Off and get your label
Pick UPS Drop-Off, then print your label at home — or skip the printer entirely: choose “email a copy of your label” and send it to hi@ambridgesc.com, or just show us the PDF on your phone. We print return labels for free.
Step 3: Bring it in
Hand us the item and the label (or let us print it). We pack it, tape it, label it, and send it back. You get a receipt, and your refund starts processing as soon as the carrier scans it in.
Already grabbed a QR code?
Easy fix, about a minute: in Your Orders, open the item → View return/refund status → Cancel return (twice). Then start the return again and choose UPS Drop-Off. If Amazon won’t offer a label option, call Amazon at 888-280-4331 and ask for a printed label — or call us and we’ll walk you through it.
What does it cost?
Label printing is free, and Amazon usually covers the return shipping. If your item needs a box or packing, we’ll quote the exact cost up front before doing anything.
Why neighbors switched
One of our favorite Google reviews says it best: “I will no longer be making the trek to Moon to wait in line to make my Amazon returns.” That’s the whole idea.
